The Temple
The term The Temple is used in multiple ways. It can refer either to your physical body as container or vessel of consciousness, or the entire physical universe as vessel of Spirit. The concept highlights the sacred nature of the physical unit, and of creation. Also, and as outlined in The Book of the Triumph of Spirit Master Key, The Temple may also refer to a place of spiritual teaching and learning. Ideally a temple would be involved in helping people to see the divinity in all things (including themselves). Ideally a temple would teach empowerment, right thinking, right action, and right environment. Ideally a temple would be a place where people are lead to the self esteem, power and freedom that is their birthright.
Sometimes, often in fact, temples as teaching spaces can be corrupted. I alluded to this in The Book of Life: Ascension and the Divine World Order were I talked about mystery schools that had been infiltrated and corrupted by agents of the ruling class. In this case the word "temple" refers to a place that has been corrupted and no longer teaches empowerment and the realization of divinity but practices and teaches hierarchy, exclusion, and the ways of power and control. We might call this type of temple a temple of power.
