Spiritual Path
From The Spirit Wiki
According to Vaughan (2002: p. 23), "the spiritual path is a metaphor for the development of spiritual qualities (e.g., spiritual development) including the development of "spiritual intelligence," compassion, self-knowledge, etc. According to Vaughan, the spiritual path involves the development of spiritual intelligence, depends on the application of spiritual practice (yoga, meditation, vision quests, journaling, etc.) and is something that transcends normal development.
The concept of a spiritual path is useful in an "old world" scientific, political and/or social context which neither understands the nature of reality as a manifestation of the Fabric of Consciousness, the purpose and function of the Physical Unit as a "temple" for consciousness, nor desires (for political and economic reasons) the full Awakening and Activation of the Physical Unit. Under healthy socio-politico-economic conditions, spiritual development would be considered the primary goal and focus of society and all it's institutions (medical, family, media, educational, even productive). In this case the notion of having to travel a spiritual path that extends beyond "normal" development would become an anachronism. Spiritual development and the spiritual path would become part of the normal developmental process and anything else would be seen as the pathological outgrowth of either ignorance of the prerequisites of full bodily awakening and activation, or willful interference with and sabotage of the process.
In order to avoid the anachronism, we may correctly say that one who is traveling a spiritual path, or one who is engaged in spiritual development, is seeking the Awakening and Empowerment of the Physical Unit.
Notes
- Because of the globally toxic conditions under which physical units are grown and created, traveling a spiritual path always involves the revision and Reconsolidation of various physical, psychological, and emotional assaults experienced by the Physical Unit as a result sub-optimal planetary conditions. The revisioning and reconsolidation may be pursued via the use of Entheogens, Meditation, Visualization or other technologies of Crown Activation and or Chakra Activation.
