A Soft Entheogen is an entheogen that operates for short periods of time, and that offers minimal exposure to the internal operation of the physical unit, and weak initial connections to The Fabric of Consciousness. Marijuana is the classic soft entheogen though its action may be "corrupted" amnd and sometimes even "hardened" when mixed with other drugs like cocaine, heroine.
