Naive Materialism
From The Spirit Wiki
Naive Materialism is the unquestioned and unquestioning belief in the primacy of the material world. Naive materialists are often unaware of evidence that challenges their worldview, and often blindly cite scientific canon as support for their positions. In some cases, naive naterialists may actually ignore evidence that defies adequate and parsimonious explanation (Sharp, 2007) in order to maintain their strained and crumbling materialist perspectives and worldviews.
