Hard Entheogens
A Hard Entheogen is an entheogen that operates for long periods of time, and that offers maximum exposure to the internal operation of the physical unit, and strong initial connections to The Fabric of Consciousness. LSD is the classic example of a hard entheogen and perhaps the hardest option available.
Given the state of the world, its disjuncture and prevalent negativity, considerable mental and emotional damage may occur as the result of negative experiences. Therefore hard entheogens should generally be avoided, especially by those who have experienced abusive childhoods, who currently live in toxic and abusive households, who have a history of mental health issues, and who have damaged self esteem and low sense of self efficacy. If the individual chooses to ignore advice, then hard entheogens should only be ingested after a period of authentic spiritual study, and only under the supervision and guidance of an experienced and spiritually sophisticated mental health professional.
Although hard entheogens were popular as a therapeutic tool amongst certain mid 20th century psychologists, it is my personal belief that hard entheogens have limited applicability and should only be used to treat the hard cases, only when absolutely necessary, only under spiritually sophisticated conditions, and only in positive and carefully controlled institution settings.
